[NEWS] 'Missing Crown Prince' Seoljin Kim, Active as the role of Crown Prince’s Bodyguard, Gap-seok!

Actor Kim Seoljin is showcasing his indispensable presence as the Crown Prince's bodyguard in the MBN TV Series "Missing Crown Prince" The series, written by Park Cheol and Kim Jisoo, directed by Kim Jinman and Kim Sanghoon, and produced by Studio Jidam, Chorokbaem Media, and Superbook Co., Ltd., is a Choseon-era romantic comedy that follows the chaos that ensues when the crown prince is abducted by a woman set to become the crown princess.

Seoljin plays the role of Gap-seok, a bodyguard fiercely loyal to Crown Prince Lee Geon (played by Suho), who is threatened after discovering a secret about Queen Dowager Min Soo-ryeon (played by Myung Se-bin). In episode 10, Lee Geon, falsely accused of assassinating King Haejong (played by Jeon Jin-oh) due to a scheme by Min Soo-ryeon and Choi Sang-rok (played by Kim Joo-heon), searches for evidence to clear his name with the help of Gap-seok.

Gap-seok has consistently proven his loyalty by rescuing Lee Geon from life-threatening situations and even volunteering as bait to divert assassins sent by Choi Sang-rok. The episode ends with Gap-seok discovering that a court lady who was present during King Haejong’s collapse is still alive, heightening anticipation for the next developments. Gap-seok remains the sole protector of the exiled crown prince, showcasing impressive action sequences and providing comic relief through his close, bantering relationship with Lee Geon.

Kim Seoljin's portrayal of Gap-seok is praised for his sly acting and impressive physicality, reflecting his background as a dancer, which makes his action scenes stand out. His performance is seen as essential to the drama, bringing both tension and timely humor to the narrative.
