[NEWS] Actor Donghyeok Moon, casted as the role of "Yang Hong-gi" on JTBC 'My Sweet Mobster'

Actor Donghyeok Moon casted in JTBC Wednesday/Thursday TV Series ‘My Sweet Mobster’.

On the 29th, Saram Entertainment announced that Donghyeok Moon will star as Yang Hong-gi in the new JTBC Wednesday/Thursday drama ‘My Sweet Mobster’ (written by Na Kyung, directed by Kim Young-hwan and Kim Woo-hyun, produced by Base Story, IOK, and SLL). ‘My Sweet Mobster’ is a romance drama filled with twists, featuring Ji-hwan (played by Uhm Tae-goo), who has cleared his dark past, and Eun-ha (played by Han Sun-hwa), the "sister Mini" who plays with children.

Donghyeok Moon will portray Yang Hong-gi, the marketing team leader of "Thirsty Deer," a meat processing company run by Ji-hwan. As the marketing team leader, Yang Hong-gi will use his innate sense and various ideas to struggle in changing the company's unfavorable image, adding vitality to the drama.

Previously, Donghyeok has continued his diverse acting career across screen and OTT platforms, with works such as the films "THE GANGSTER, THE COP, THE DEVIL" and "MS. APOCALYPSE," the Netflix original "Kingdom," and dramas like "Start-Up," "The Devil Judge," and "Through the Darkness." Notably, he made a mark with his intense portrayal of a chaebol heir in "The Devil Judge," and increased the immersion of the drama by playing a shameless character in "See You in My 19th Life" as Ban Ji-eum's (Shin Hye-sun) older brother, Ban Dong-woo, who torments the family.

With his exceptional ability to portray diverse characters in various genres, expectations are high for Donghyeok's performance in “My Sweet Mobster”.

Meanwhile, the JTBC new Wednesday-Thursday drama “My Sweet Mobster”, featuring Donghyeok Moon, will premiere on June 12 at 8:50 PM.
