Actress Chaeeun Jeon has shared her thoughts on the conclusion of 'Uncle SamSik' through her agency, Saram Entertainment.

Disney+'s original series 'Uncle SamSik' released its final episode yesterday (19th), drawing the series to a close. Set against the turbulent backdrop of South Korea from the late 1950s to the 1960s, 'Uncle SamSik' has been praised as a 'well-made series' due to its compelling storyline and the strong performances of its cast.

In the series, Chaeeun Jeon played the role of Park Sujin, a university student fighting for democracy. She delivered a powerful presence, writing and reading a declaration against the fraudulent March 15 election in front of her fellow students and courageously participating in protests. Her portrayal of Park Sujin, who fought for the freedom of people oppressed by the dictatorial regime, resonated deeply with viewers, capturing the struggles and hopes of the youth of that era.

Reflecting on the show's end, Chaeeun Jeon expressed her mixed feelings, saying, "We filmed 'Uncle SamSik' during extremely cold winters and hot summers, so it's hard to believe it's already over. Having worked on the project for over a year, I feel both relieved and wistful." She also extended her gratitude to the viewers, stating, "Thank you so much for staying with 'Uncle SamSik' until the end. Please continue to support and show love for both the student activist Park Sujin and actress Chaeeun Jeon."

Chaeeun Jeon has showcased her versatility across various genres in dramas such as 'Little Women', 'If You Wish Upon Me', and 'The Devil Judge'. As she continues to demonstrate her broad acting range, there is growing anticipation for her future projects.

Meanwhile, 'Uncle SamSik', featuring Chaeeun Jeon, is available for streaming on Disney+.
