[NEWS] Actress Choi Sooyoung Participates in ‘Unity Marathon with the Visually Impaired’ for 3rd Consecutive Year, Spreading Positive Influence

Actress Choi Sooyoung continues to spread her positive influence through her actions.

On August 31st, the 10th Unity Marathon with the Visually Impaired was held at the Peace Plaza in Olympic Park. The event, hosted by an organization for the visually impaired, brings together people with various disabilities, including visual, physical, auditory, and developmental impairments, to participate in a paired walking race alongside able-bodied participants.

Choi Sooyoung has participated in this event consistently for the past three years, since 2022, and has actively promoted participation through her social media. She has been dedicated to raising awareness about disabilities and improving understanding. Sooyoung shared her thoughts, saying, "I hope the ‘Unity Marathon with the Visually Impaired’ continues, as it promotes communication and collaboration between visually impaired and sighted participants as they move forward together." She added, "All proceeds from entry fees and donations go toward improving mobility for the visually impaired and advancing research to prevent blindness, so I hope many people continue to show their support."

Meanwhile, Choi Sooyoung is set to make her solo debut in Japan. Pre-orders for her debut single, ‘Unstoppable’, began on August 29th at 6 PM, and the album is set to release on October 30th. To celebrate, the ‘SooYoung Solo Debut Showcase ~Unstoppable~’ will be held at Ebisu Garden Hall in Tokyo on October 26th.
