Actress Choi SooYoung hosted the closing ceremony of the 29th Busan International Film Festival, bringing the event to a grand finale.

The Busan International Film Festival (BIFF), which ran for ten days from October 2 to 11, concluded successfully. Now in its 29th year, the festival has grown from Korea’s first international film festival to one of the largest, establishing itself as a global celebration for filmmakers worldwide.

On this day, Choi SooYoung, dressed in a pure white dress as the host of the closing ceremony of the Busan International Film Festival, captivated the audience with her elegant and youthful appearance. With her seasoned and witty hosting skills, Choi SooYoung led the film festival, stating, "Many people are working behind the scenes for this grand festival. I would like to express my deep gratitude to the staff at the festival office who have worked hard to make this event diverse and vibrant, the police officers, firefighters, and medical staff helping with safety, the volunteers who are running around the festival, the filmmakers who have gifted us magical moments with their amazing films, and, of course, the audience who have shared this time with us." Her heartfelt speech received a warm round of applause from the audience.

Choi SooYoung, who has had a strong connection with Busan, has also hosted various awards ceremonies such as the Marie Claire Asia Star Awards and the Busan Film Critics Awards, showcasing her stable hosting abilities. At this year's BIFF, she demonstrated seamless chemistry with actor Gong Myoung, with both adding their charm to the evening, lighting up the night in Busan.

Meanwhile, Choi SooYoung is set to release her first solo debut single Unstoppable in Japan on October 30. Additionally, a teaser for the music video will be released today (12th) at 6 PM on the Avex YouTube channel. To celebrate her solo debut, she will also hold a showcase on October 26 at the Yebisu Garden Hall in Tokyo.
