Actor Gong Myoung wrapped up the 29th Busan International Film Festival as the host of the closing ceremony.

The Busan International Film Festival (BIFF), which ran for ten days from October 2 to 11, concluded successfully. Now in its 29th year, the festival has grown from Korea’s first international film festival to one of the largest, establishing itself as a global celebration for filmmakers worldwide.

As the host of the closing ceremony, Gong Myoung took to the red carpet, marking the final night of the festival. Dressed stylishly in an all-black suit, he and co-host SooYoung from Girls' Generation greeted the audience with bright smiles, signaling the start of the event. His charming visuals and steady voice captivated the audience. Gong Myoung shared his excitement, saying, “This year, as the host of the Busan International Film Festival closing ceremony, I am also participating as an actor in the new film Way Back Love, directed by Kim Hye Young and Choi Ha Na. I believe this makes tonight more beautiful”, which received a great response.

In addition, Gong Myoung who plays the lead role of Kim Ram Woo in the official selection On Screen section, the TVING original series Way Back Love, interacted with the audience at the festival. He attended various events including the red carpet at the opening ceremony on October 2, GV, Open Talk, the Marie Claire Asia Star Awards, and the closing ceremony. Notably, the GV event he participated in sold out all tickets within three minutes of opening, confirming the intense interest in Gong Myoung and Way Back Love.

Meanwhile, Way Back Love, starring Gong Myoung, will be released on TVING in 2025.
