Actress Han Yeri shared her thoughts on the ending of 'Doubt'.

On the 15th, MBC's Friday-Saturday drama Doubt (planned by Namgung Sung Woo, directed by Song Yeon Hwa, written by Han Ah Young, and produced by Ascendio and Woodside) concluded. Han Yeri played the role of profiler Lee Eo Jin, a member of the Crime Behavior Analysis Team led by Jang Tae Soo (played by Han Suk Kyu).

Han Yeri shared her thoughts through her agency, Saram Entertainment: “I always hope to work with wonderful people every time I film a drama, and  I was happy to shoot with such great people in a warm and heartfelt atmosphere again."

After a 3-year hiatus, Han Yeri made her return with a powerful performance, perfectly portraying the rational side of her character Lee Eo Jin through precise diction and delicate emotional expression. In particular, as her character witnesses Jang Tae Soo gradually losing objectivity and violating investigative principles, Han Yeri skillfully depicts Lee Eo Jin’s growing disappointment and eventual doubts to whom she trusted, receiving praise for her subtle yet sharp emotional portrayal.

She shared, “I often thought about Lee Eo Jin’s perspective. I especially wondered what her best course of action would be and spent a lot of time contemplating what would be the best choice without regret.” She added, “Ultimately, I think this entire journey was about showing Lee Eo Jin's growth. I focused on understanding what she learned from Jang Tae Soo, how she would make her choices, and how she would move forward."

Regarding the true culprit of the case, Han Yeri said, “I had no idea and never expected the culprit to be that person.” She added, “Since the actors were laughing and chatting together on set, It made the betrayal feel even more intense.” When asked who would be the 'Doubt' to her character, Lee Eo Jin, she responded, "It would definitely be Team Leader Jang Tae Soo, whom I admired and trusted."

She also expressed deep trust in the production team, saying, "Writer Han Ah Young wrote the script meticulously, and Director Song Yeon Hwa’s directorial direction was very detailed. I could tell they had a clear vision for what they wanted." Han Yeri further reflected, "Meeting with Han Suk Kyu senior made me reflect a lot on myself. Every word he said was meaningful, and I also wanted to be a good adult and a good senior like him." She shared her affection for her colleagues, saying, "Everyone on set was truly precious."

Finally, Han Yeri expressed her confidence in the drama and gratitude toward the viewers, saying, “If you've watched the final episode, I strongly recommend rewatching the series from the beginning. Everything will appear new to you. The intentions behind the characters' words will feel completely different, and I’m sure you'll enjoy piecing together the clues that were there from the start. Thank you for watching until the end!”
