Actor Cho Jin Woong won the Special Acting Award in the OTT category at ‘The 44th Golden Cinematography Awards’.

On the 18th, at the 44th Golden Cinematography Awards held at the CG Art Hall in the Construction Hall in Gangnam, Seoul, Cho Jin Woong won the Special Acting Award in the OTT category for his performance in No Way Out: The Roulette, which was released on U+ Mobile TV and Disney+.

The Golden Cinematography Awards, celebrating its 44th year, is an esteemed film festival hosted by the Korean Society of Cinematographers. The awards aim to improve the cinematography techniques in Korean films and discover new faces in the industry.

Upon receiving the award, Cho Jin Woong expressed his gratitude, saying, "Thank you. This award is particularly meaningful because it comes from the cinematographers." He continued, “We completed the project with the mindset of 'If you don’t have teeth, you bite with your gums.' I dedicate this award to the cinematographer Seo Dong Ki, and to the No Way Out team.”

In No Way Out: The Roulette, Cho Jin Woong portrayed the role of Detective Baek Jung Sik, who is tasked with protecting the notorious criminal Kim Gook Ho (played by Yoo Jae Myung). His performance created an intense sense of suspense, earning him praise as a reliable actor. Especially notable was Cho Jin Woong’s portrayal of Detective Baek Jung Sik, a character caught in a dire predicament. His compelling and nuanced performance raised the dramatic tension, garnering enthusiastic praise for enhancing the overall quality of the project.

Cho Jin Woong has expanded his presence across TV, film, and OTT platforms, seamlessly taking on a wide range of characters. This has helped him establish a unique and distinguished filmography. As a result, he has won numerous awards at prestigious events, starting with the Best New Actor award at the Chunsa Film Awards, followed by Best Supporting Actor awards at the Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival and the Blue Dragon Film Awards. He has also received the Best Actor in a Movie award at the Baeksang Arts Awards, the Grand Prize in Acting at the tvN10 Awards, and the Best Drama Actor award at the Asia Artist Awards, winning the hearts of the audience. With these accolades, there is growing anticipation for Cho Jin Woong’s future career.
