ard selected the winners among films released from July 2023 to October 2024, including those shown on OTT platforms.
Cho Jin Woong received the Best Actor Award for his role in Dead Man. On stage, he expressed his gratitude, saying, "This recognition feels so reassuring. I am deeply grateful to all the senior actors who have led the way for me. I also want to thank everyone for inviting me to this grand celebration and honoring me with this award." He continued, “I want to share this honor with all the staff, directors, and everyone who worked on Dead Man. Lastly, I will not forget the hard work and dedication of my seniors. As a junior, I will strive to ensure that your legacy remains untarnished. Please continue to love Korean cinema.”
This year, Cho Jin Woong showcased his talents across the borders of the big screen and OTT platforms. In the film Dead Man released earlier this year, he portrayed the character Lee Man Jae, a man who is wrongfully accused of embezzling 1 billion won and living as a dead person. His powerful performance received critical acclaim for portraying a character who falls from the peak of life in a dynamic and compelling way. Later in the year, he took the lead role of Detective Baek Jung Sik in No Way Out: The Roulette, which will be released on Disney+ and U+ Mobile TV. His gripping performance helped elevate the intense suspense of the drama, earning the title of a reliable actor. In November, he also won the Special Acting Award in the OTT category at the 44th Golden Film Awards.
Having received numerous accolades for his performances throughout the year, expectations for his upcoming days in 2025 are high.
