[NEWS] ‘Check In Hanyang’ Jung Gunjoo, perfectly transferred to 'foxy' Cheon Junhwa

Actor Jung Gunjoo made his return with "Check In Hanyang."

In episodes 1 and 2 of the Channel A weekend drama Check In Hanyang (written by Park Hyunjin, directed by Myung Hyunwoo, planned by Channel A, produced by WIMAD, Artist Studio, Story Networks, and co-invested by PONY CANYON), aired on the 21st and 22nd, Jung Gunjoo perfectly transformed into the witty and foxy Cheon Junhwa and added fun to the drama.

The first meeting between Junhwa and Deoksu (played by Kim Ji-eun) was depicted in the first episode. Junhwa got entangled with Deoksu by shamelessly asking Deoksu to carry his bag right after introducing himself. He also added humor by losing half of the beef jerky he brought in exchange for helping with his luggage. Later, when Deoksu’s jacket is grabbed by Lee Eun (played by Bae Inhyuk) while she is changing clothes, Junhwa tries to stop it and gets caught in a scuffle, hinting at the Yongcheollu's chaotic life.

Due to an unintended fight, Lee Eun, Deoksu, Junhwa, and Sura (played by Park Jaechan) were once again placed in the same room. Junhwa comforted 3 frustrated people by saying, "Since we're all tied together anyway, we have to go through this storm together." Then he began to take the lead in helping the uneasy "Lowest Room" friends by asking their names and suggesting they take a bath together. As Junhwa led the group, he stood up for Sura when Choi Sangbang's servants repeatedly targeted him. Above all, to go against Choi Sangbang who kept ignoring the "Lowest Room," he bravely risked his expulsion and joined the "Double Match" challenge and demonstrated strong loyalty.

Jung Gunjoo perfectly embodied the character of Cheon Junhwa, bringing energy to the drama with his performance. With his cheerful and cheeky charm, Junhwa quickly took the lead of the dysfunctional "Haona" four, captivating viewers with his boldness and strong leadership. Additionally, Jung Gunjoo drew attention with his gorgeous visuals, flawlessly pulling off everything from the colorful hanbok to the monotone servant uniform, stirring the hearts of viewers. With his combination of both looks and acting skills, Jung Gunjoo is set to renew another all-time favorite character in Check In Hanyang, leaving the audience to anticipate his future work.
