‘Check in Hanyang’ #JungGunjoo found out that Kim Jieun is a woman. 

In episode 4 of Channel A's weekend drama Check-in Hanyang (written by Park Hyunjin, directed by Myung Hyunwoo, produced by Channel A, WIMAD, Artist Studio, Story Networks, and co-produced by PONY CANYON), which aired on the 29th, a change in Cheon Junhwa's (played by Jung Gunjoo) mind was depicted after he found out that Hong Deoksu (played by Kim Jieun) is a woman.

That day, Junhwa carried Deoksu into the room, who had been swept away by the stream while doing laundry. As he tried to dry Deoksu's wet body, he discovered bandages wrapped around her chest and was shocked to realize she was a woman. After Deoksu regained consciousness, she rushed back to the stream to find the lost golden key. Meanwhile, Junhwa, who couldn't let his friends risk their lives for the clothes, went to Seol Maehwa (played by Kim Minjung) to propose a deal. "The future grand proprietor will be in debt to you. That alone must be worth a great deal" Junhwa said, taking on a future debt to secure new clothes. However, he wasn't able to reveal the truth to his friends, who spent the whole night washing the clothes. In the end, the elementary room submitted the slightly damp clothes, but the instructor, Sahwan, gave the Haona quartet a passing grade for their hard work and effort who had sweated throughout the night to solve the task.

After the cadets finished their management assignments, a 12-course meal was prepared for them. Concerned that Deoksu might get drunk and make a mistake, Junhwa volunteered to drink instead of Deoksu and ended up in a drunken stupor. When Junhwa woke up, he was flustered to see Deoksu lying casually in a room full of men, but he carefully covered him with a blanket. During their first outing, Junhwa made sure to buy the pumpkin candy Deoksu had requested. By chance, when they visited a candy seller, Junhwa got his fortune read. Unlike the lucky prediction for Lee Eun (played by Bae Inhyuk), Junhwa’s fortune indicated a tangled fate, which he dismissed as nonsense, feeling upset. Back at Yongcheonru, JunHwa rushed out after hearing that Deoksu had been drawn into a conflict at Jakyakjae and was shocked to see Deoksu dressed as a woman. Now that Junhwa has discovered Deoksu’s true identity, everyone is curious to see how their relationship will unfold in the future.

Jung Gunjoo has received praise from viewers for his portrayal of Cheon Junhwa, showing his growth as he gradually bonds with his elementary room friends. Initially immature Junhwa steps up for his friends by offering to make a deal, and even stays up all night drying fabric, blending into the Haona quartet. Meanwhile, Deoksu appears in front of JunHwa disguised as a woman, leaving viewers curious about how their relationship will evolve.
