Actress #ChoiHeejin captured the viewers' attention with her lively presence from her very first appearance in Motel California.

In the 2nd episode of MBC's Friday-Saturday drama Motel California (produced by HB Entertainment, directed by Kim Hyungmin, written by Lee Seoyoon, and planned by Jang Jaehoon), Choi Heejin played the role of Yoon Nanwoo, a veterinarian who genuinely loves and cares animals.

In this episode, Nanwoo made her first appearance by struggling to catch escaping puppies. Her encounter with Yeonsu (played by Na Inwoo) began when the puppies scattered in all directions. After Nanwoo asked Yeonsu to help catch the puppies, Yeonsu skillfully gathered them together and helped. However, he suddenly called a rescue team and bewildered Nanwoo. Nanwoo expressed frustration, saying, "I worked so hard to get them out, and now you’re sending them back to the lab? You don’t even know what you’re doing!" But Yeonsu had actually connected them to an animal shelter instead of the lab and introduced Nanwoo to his animal welfare club, 'Footsteps of Sharing,' which helps both experimental dogs and stray dogs. Surprised, Nanwoo realized that Yeonsu was the senior she had always respected.

Then, Nanwoo asked Yeonsu’s close friend Areum (played by Lee Soi) about the relationship status and even checked on the Christmas Eve plans, showing an interest that heightened curiosity about how the relationship between the two characters will unfold.

From her first appearance in Motel California, Choi Heejin brought energy and charm to the screen, infusing the show with vitality. As a veterinarian, her chemistry with the puppies was heartwarming, and her dynamic with Na Inwoo, playing Cheon Yeonsu, hints at the chemistry between senior-junior relationships. Viewers are now eagerly anticipating how Choi Heejin’s character will develop in Motel California.

Choi Heejin made her debut in 2018 with the Playlist web drama Flower Ever After and has since built a steady filmography through various projects, including dramas like Strong Girl Kang Nam-soon and Behind Your Touch, the Disney+ original series Royalloader, and films such as Girl on a Bulldozer, Completed Transaction, and The Neighbor. In The Impossible Heir, she played the role of the youngest daughter of a chaebol family, "Kang Heejoo."
