Actor #ShimWoosung will star as Detective Na Tae-man in TVING Original Drama ‘Study Group’.

Shim Woosung's agency Saram Entertainment announced that “Shim Woosung will appear as Na Tae-man in the TVING Original Drama ‘Study Group’.”

‘Study Group’ (directed by Lee Janghoon, Yoo Beomsang; written by Eom Seonho, Oh Bohyun; planned by Studio Dragon; produced by YLAB PLEX; provided by TVING) is based on the popular webtoon of the same name. The series follows Yoon Ga-min (played by Hwang Minhyun), who wants to be good at studying but is only talented in fighting, as he forms a "study group" and plunges into the cutthroat world of college entrance exams at the worst school. It is a comedic high school action drama.

Shim Woosung plays Na Tae-man, a detective who helps Yoon Ga-min, a character who is only skilled in fighting. He will also work as a key ally to the other members of the study group, generating much anticipation.

Shim Woosung has made an impact in a variety of works, including Netflix Originals such as 'Money Heist: Korea - Joint Economic Area', 'Somebody', 'Narco-Saints', as well as dramas like 'A Virtuous Business', 'Queen of Tears', 'Vincenzo', and films like 'Project Wolf Hunting', 'Limit', and musicals and plays like ‘Laundry’, ‘World Friends’, and ‘Ikino Bike’. Notably, in the drama 'A Virtuous Business', he played the role of Kyung-sik, a two-faced villain, and left a lasting impression on viewers despite his short appearance.

Having actively performed across the stage, OTT platforms, screen, and television, Shim Woosung is set to showcase another side of his talent in this new drama.

Meanwhile, the TVING Original Drama ‘Study Group’, starring Shim Woosung, will be exclusively released on TVING on the 23rd.
