[NEWS] ‘Check in Hanyang’ Jung Gunjoo, 'Straightforward Mode' towards Kim Jieun!
"I want to go to Ihwawon with you. Will you go with me?"

Check in Hanyang Jung Gunjoo activated 'Straightforward Mode' towards Kim Jieun.
In episode 9 of Channel A’s weekend drama Check in Hanyang (written by Park Hyunjin, directed by Myung Hyunwoo, planned by Channel A, produced by WIMAD, Artist Studio, Story Networks, co-produced and invested by PONY CANYON), Jung Gunjoo's character, Jun-hwa, confesses his feelings to Deok-su (played by Kim Jieun).
On that day, the Haona quartet successfully launched their gambling hall, "Bullakho." Though they briefly faced trouble when the Minister of Defense (played by Yoon Jemoon) raided the hall looking for flaws, Deok-su overcame the crisis by running the hall targeting Chinese envoys who were not subject to Korean law. Lord Cheon (played by Kim Euisung) recognized Deok-su's abilities and judged that she was an appropriate business partner for Jun-hwa, reappointing him as an official servant of Yongcheongru.

Cheon, impressed by Deok-su's business acumen and success in managing the gambling hall, became very interested in her family background and fortune. Jun-hwa, noticing Deok-su's aspiration to rise to the position of innkeeper, praised her in front of his father, saying, "Although we're from humble beginnings, we have big ambitions." Throughout the episode, Jun-hwa’s gaze remained fixed on Deok-su, even when they are together. Jun-hwa lovingly looked at Deok-su, saying "Eat slowly, you might get indigestion if you eat that fast." However, when Jun-hwa subtly senses that Deok-su’s attention is fully on Lee Eun (played by Bae Inhyuk), he decides to confess his feelings.

Jun-hwa calls Lee Eun aside and admits, "I’ve fallen for someone at first sight. I’ve never felt this way in my life." Lee Eun, not knowing who the confession is about, provides Jun-hwa with some advice to help him. Finally, alone with Deok-su, Jun-hwa confesses his feelings, saying, "One day, I want to go to Ihwawon with you. Will you go with me?" However, Lee Eun witnesses the confession and realizes that Deok-su is a woman. The episode ends with three characters caught in a love triangle, leaving viewers eagerly awaiting the upcoming stories.
Jung Gunjoo’s portrayal of Jun-hwa, who openly expresses his emotions despite being aware of the subtle tension between Deok-su and Lee Eun, adds charm to the character. With Lee Eun discovering Deok-su's true identity, a major shift in the trio’s relationships is expected, heightening anticipation for further development.
Meanwhile, the 10th episode of Check in Hanyang, featuring Jung Gunjoo, will air tonight (19th) at 9:10 PM.
