[NEWS] Actor Sim Woosung, an Irreplaceable Presence as Na Taeman in 'Study Group'

Actor Sim Woosung demonstrates his irreplaceable presence as the detective Na Taeman, an essential ally for the members of Study Group.

In episodes 7 and 8 of the TVING Original Drama Study Group (directed by Lee Jang Hoon and Yoo Beom Sang, written by Eom Seon Ho and Oh Bo Hyun, produced by Studio Dragon, YLab Flex, and provided by TVING), detective Taeman (played by Sim Woosung) is seen struggling to find the true culprit behind the Ancheon Harbor murder case.

Taeman confronts Suncheol (played by Ju Yeonwoo), who claims to be the murderer, asking, "Did you get into a fight and kill out of anger?" and "You stabbed him three times out of anger?" Despite Taeman's questioning, Suncheol stubbornly insists he killed the victim. Taeman responds, "Is this how easily you're going to give up on your life?" and challenges Suncheol's testimony by pointing out that there is only one stab wound, implying Suncheol's confession is false and showing sympathy for his predicament.

As Sooncheol's name was cleared, Taeman went to confront Seongwoong (played by Kim Nakgyun), the real culprit behind the Ancheon Harbor murder. Seongwoong mocked Sooncheol, claiming he was the real killer, but Taeman responded by throwing a punch, landing a powerful blow. Seongwoong attempted to retaliate with a weapon, but was suddenly knocked down by Gamin. Taeman looked at Gamin in disbelief, while Gamin, with a smirk, explained that he had come to search for a notebook and had just spotted a flaw in Seongwoong's story.

Sim Woosung perfectly portrays the role of Na Taeman, a realistic yet determined detective who works alongside the students of Yuseong High School to fight for justice, elevating the show's immersion. Not only does he showcase his solid acting skills, but he also effortlessly handles intense action scenes, proving his acting prowess built through experience in various genres. Expectations are high for Sim Woosung's performance as he consistently presents new sides of himself.
