Actress #OhWoori's Reason for Her Second-Place Complex Revealed in Friendly Rivalry is revealed.

In episodes 5 and 6 of the STUDIO X+U drama Friendly Rivalry (planned by STUDIO X+U, produced by YLAB Flex and STUDIO X+U, directed by Kim Tae Hee, written by Kim Tae Hee, Min Ye Ji), released on the 17th and 18th, the story behind Choi Kyung (played by Oh Woori) being stuck in second place for years was revealed, evoking sympathy.

In these episodes, Kyung’s past as a perpetual second-place student was unveiled. She had always come second even in elementary school, believing she would finally take the top spot when her rival, the class president, transferred. However, Kyung’s hopes were dashed when Jeyi (played by Lee Hyeri), who was not only beautiful but also excelled academically, appeared and claimed the top spot. After Jeyi's arrival, Kyung teamed up with her, but soon discovered that a boy she liked, who had been giving her gifts, was actually only interested in Jae’s phone number. This realization brought back feelings of defeat for Kyung. She soon sensed that she would always remain in second place behind Jeyi, leading to a sense of self-pity and loneliness.

Meanwhile, after an essay about Seulgi's (played by Chung Subin) personal life was handed out to the class, Kyung (played by Oh Woori) approached Seulgi and asked if her father, Woo Dohyeok (played by Lee Wonjae), was the college entrance exam committee member and teacher at Chaehwa Girls' High School. Kyung then mentioned, "Your stepmother is suing Jeyi’s dad for a medical malpractice case," a fact Seulgi didn’t know, which greatly unsettled her.

Kyung continued, suggesting that Jeyi might have approached Seulgi because she was Woo Dohyeok’s daughter and even implied that Jeyi’s intentions were to pressure Seulgi into settling the medical lawsuit. This statement caused confusion for Seulgi and created tension between her and Jeyi, leaving viewers curious about how their relationship will develop.
