Actress Kim KumSoon shines in her role as Mi-hyang, Jenny’s mom, in When Life Gives You Tangerines. 

Her performance in episodes 7-8, released on the 14th, shows Mi-hyang putting Geum-myeong (IU) in a difficult spot.

Mi-hyang, desperate to send her daughter to college, offers a proxy exam deal to Geum-myeong, promising an apartment in Seoul if she accepts. When Geum-myeong rejects, Mi-hyang frames her for stealing a diamond ring.

Kim KumSoon’s portrayal of Mi-hyang captivates viewers with her ruthless maternal love and cold manipulation, all while subtly expressing Mi-hyang’s fear of her daughter discovering her dark past.
