Actor Jung Gunjoo returns with the fresh face of youth.
The TVING original series Way Back Love, premiering on April 3 (produced by CJ ENM and Studio Mondo, distributed by TVING), is a youth fantasy romance that begins when Ramwoo (Gong Myoung), the first love of Heewan (Kim Minah), reappears before her as a grim reaper. Based on the beloved novel by author Seo Eunchae, the series intertwines a heart-fluttering past with a changed present, capturing one dazzling week.
Jung Gunjoo plays the role of Lee Hongseok, a former swimming prodigy once known as “the seal” in middle school and Ramwoo’s one-and-only fierce board game rival. Perfectly fitting into a school uniform and embodying the character, Jung Gunjoo is set to portray a realistic story of youth, growth, and love. From a playful best friend to heartfelt bromance with Gong Myoung, expectations are high for his performance.

Jung Gunjoo, who recently showcased his deeper acting skills in the drama Check-in Hanyang, captivated viewers with his charming portrayal of a character who balanced both sly humor and dark emotions. In response to the show's popularity, he will hold a fan meeting titled "Would You Like to Check In?" on April 26 at Toyosu PIT in Tokyo, Japan. The event will be held in two sessions, offering a special chance to connect with local fans.
Meanwhile, Jung Gunjoo stars in the TVING original series Way Back Love, with episodes 1 and 2 premiering on Thursday, April 3 on TVING.
