Actor Gong Myoung has become the embodiment of the perfect first love.

In episodes 1 and 2 of the TVING original series Way Back Love (produced by CJ ENM and Studio Mondo, distributed by TVING), released on the 3rd, Gong Myoung returns after four years as 'Kim Ramwoo,' the grim reaper, capturing the audience with his portrayal of the heart-fluttering first love character.

On April Fools' Day in his second year of high school, Ramwoo switches names with Heewan (played by Kim Minha). As a result, Ramwoo finds himself involved in accidents caused by Heewan under his name, and naturally starts to bond with Heewan. Over time, Ramwoo gradually adapts to being called Heewan.

The scene where Ramwoo suddenly appeared in front of grown-up Heewan was also revealed. He cheerfully greeted Heewan, saying, "Hi, it's been a while. How have you been, Kim Ramwoo?" and introduced himself as a grim reaper, delivering the shocking news that Heewan would die in a week. Despite knowing that time was running out, Ramwoo suggested they complete his bucket list together, as Heewan didn't feel like doing anything. Ramwoo and Heewan then took part in various activities, from riding a tandem bicycle to paragliding. Toward the end of the episode, it was revealed that Ramwoo's bucket list was actually a list Heewan had once wanted to do with his future partner, which deeply moved the viewers.

Gong Myoung delicately portrayed the growth and emotions of Ramwoo, from a high school student to a grim reaper. He captured the differences in Ramwoo's character with distinct changes in his voice tone, expressions, and styling, which helped immerse the viewers. Especially when Ramwoo tried to lift Heewan's spirits with a bright smile, while also showing moments of tenderness in his gaze toward Heewan, Gong Myoung received high praise from viewers.
