#JeonChaeeun shares her thoughts on the finale of Way Back Love through her agency, Saram Entertainment.

The final episode of the TVING original series Way Back Love (produced by CJ ENM and Studio MONDO, distributed by TVING) was recently released. The youth fantasy romance follows Heewan (played by Kim Minah), who has turned her back on the world, as her first love Ramwoo (played by Gong Myoung) suddenly reappears as a grim reaper. Praised for its solid script, cinematic direction, and outstanding performances, the series is being recognized as a well-made production.

In the series, Jeon Chaeeun played Jung Heeju, Heewan’s younger sister, and made a lasting impression with her vibrant presence. Heeju’s blunt honesty and unfiltered “truth bombs” toward her sister resonated with viewers, offering a realistic portrayal of sisterhood. After Ramwoo’s death, she shows Heewan tough love with genuine care, helping her confront the anxiety of life’s unpredictability—a reminder of the unique support only family can offer. In one especially touching moment, Heeju remembers Heewan saying that she felt like crying after losing her assignment because of her old laptop. Quietly saving up money from her part-time job, she surprises her sister with a new laptop—a classic tsundere gesture that leaves a lasting emotional impact.

Jeon Chaeeun, who played Heeju—a blunt but caring friend to Heewan and a younger sister with the heart of an older one—said,"It feels like it wasn't that long ago when we were filming Way Back Love, but now it's already over. I'm grateful that we were able to finish it safely, but I also feel a bit sad that time went by so quickly."

She continued, "Every moment I spent on this project felt comfortable. I was truly happy and thankful to film such a warm story with amazing senior actors. I hope that warmth was conveyed just as it is to everyone who watched the series," she added.

Finally, Chaeeun said,"To all the viewers who have stayed with Way Back Love and Heeju until now—thank you so much from the bottom of my heart!"

Meanwhile, the final episode of Way Back Love, starring Jeon Chaeeun, airs tonight (2nd) at 10:40 PM on tvN. The entire series is available on TVING.
