Oh Woori, Shares Reflections Through Her Agency, Saram Ent.

Actress Oh Woori Shared Her Thoughts on the Conclusion of Way Back Love
The final episode of TVING’s original drama Way Back Love (produced by CJ ENM and Studio MONDO, distributed by TVING) was recently released. The youth fantasy romance tells the story of Heewan (played by Kim Minha), who has shut herself off from the world, and her first love Ramwoo (played by Gong Myoung), who reappears before her as a grim reaper. Oh Woori played the role of Yoon Taekyung—Heewan’s best friend and soulmate.

Oh Woori drew attention for her vibrant portrayal of Taekyung, a cheerful and lively high school student, showing a completely different charm from her previous role in Friendly Rivalry. Unlike Choi Kyung, who was full of competitive spirit in the earlier series, Taekyung brought laughter to the screen with her playful chemistry and witty banter with her best friend Heewan, adding warmth and energy to the drama. At the same time, Oh Woori enhanced the show’s emotional depth with her layered performance. She delicately portrayed the honest and relatable emotions of a teenager—feeling left out as Heewan grew closer to Ramwoo, and showing flashes of jealousy over college matters—drawing empathy from many viewers.
Reflecting on the experience, Oh Woori shared, “This was such a joyful project that I still vividly remember the filming days. It’s hard to believe it’s already over. Playing Taekyung taught me a lot, and it was truly fun and fulfilling.”

When asked what she focused on while portraying Taekyung, Oh Woori shared,
“Taekyung may seem like someone who confidently follows her own path without being swayed by others, but deep down, she’s a girl who cares deeply about protecting her friends.” She continued, “Even though she pretends to be carefree, I felt she still fears change and worries about separation, just like any teenager. I focused on expressing those emotions in my performance.”
Lastly, Oh Woori expressed her gratitude to the viewers, saying, “Thank you to everyone who loved Way Back Love. I hope that in difficult moments, Ramwoo and Heewan might come to mind and offer a small comfort. I hope Hongseok and Taekyung will remain in your memories for a long time. I’ll continue to grow and return with even better performances.”
