On May 15, Saram Entertainment announced that actress Kong Seongha has signed an exclusive contract with the agency, stating, “We are delighted to be working with Kong Seongha, an actress who has touched audiences with her heartfelt performances. We will fully support her so she can showcase her diverse talents and charm across various fields.”
Kong Seongha made her debut in the 2014 film My Older Sister, and has steadily built her career through films such as First Child, The Trace, and The Way of Vengeance, as well as dramas including Doctor Slump, Daily Dose of Sunshine, and Jirisan. She received particular acclaim for her role as reporter Choi Yoonji in Through the Darkness, where she delivered a moving performance as a journalist writing to comfort the families of crime victims. Her work in the role earned her the Best New Actress Award at the 2022 SBS Drama Awards, cementing her reputation as a rising talent.
Kong Seongha is set to appear in the upcoming drama Love me, in which she will portray pianist Im Yoonju. She also has two films awaiting release: Heaven: To the Land of Happiness, which was officially invited to the 73rd Cannes Film Festival, and The Shrine, which screened at the 28th Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival.
